The term "open" or "open-source" is becoming increasingly popular in the world of Christian content. Unfortunately, it has not been well-defined in this context and is often used by well-intended people in ways that are incongruous with the actual meaning of the terms. It is often used to mean something along the lines of "we are not as restrictive as we used to be with our content and we are willing to share some of what we have for some uses, subject to the restrictions in the Terms of Use."
